New members of the Club who are interested in stroke, technique and stamina improvement can attend the Saturday/Sunday swimming club. We have the use of all six lanes on both of these evenings so we can cater for a wide range of abilities. These sessions run from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Our youngest members would be typically 7 or 8 years of age but we have had some younger. Children should be able to swim at least 25m on front crawl and backstroke before joining the Club.
New members must first be assessed by one of our coaches before joining the Sat/Sun swim sessions. These assessments typically take place at the start of the season in early September. Any questions relating to joining Tuam Swimming Club should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
As swimmers advance in stamina and strength and as their techniques improve they are encouraged to progress to the Junior Squad. As we only have limited use of lanes at these times we cannot cater for as many as we would like to. Progress to the Junior Squad is at the discretion of the coach.
Annual Individual Membership is €100/Family Membership is €150.
